HireWriters.com Review

If you have a business of any size, whether it’s well-established or a start-up, you may have wondered why you should be hiring a professional writer for your company’s written content needs from all kinds of content writing to web pages, review writing, and more. Perhaps you’ve even thought that you could just use a member of your staff or simply write the necessary copy yourself.

However, if you’re really seriously thinking of using non-writers for creating that all-important marketing or other business content, you might want to stop and think about it. The fact is that you simply won’t get the same level of results from non-writing staff members as you would be getting from professional writers. Remember, every single one of your social media posts, emails, and web pages can make a lasting impression on both your potential and your current customers. And, with Hirewriters, you have the confidence that it’s the right impression.

Hirewriters Quality.

Hirewriters has four writer categories from beginner to general, skilled, and then expert. Clients select a specific category for their job posting and only the writers in that category or higher can pick up the job. Clients understand that the higher the category they choose, of course, the better writing they’ll receive. It can be somewhat difficult to determine the writing quality via samples since there really aren’t any available unless some writers post examples on their profile. However, clients can request a sample from a specific writer if desired.

Becoming a Hirewriters Writer.

In order to become a writer on Hirewriters, individuals just need to complete an easy registration process and submit a writing example. There’s also a great deal of information provided regarding how and when a writer gets paid as well as how to progress from a beginner to an expert writer.

Becoming a Hirewriters Client.

We discovered during our Hirewriters.com review process that clients start by creating an account, making a deposit into it, and then placing orders on a job board for the freelance writers to choose and then fulfill. The writer isn’t paid from the client’s account until the job has been approved by the client. The Hirewriters team is dedicated to providing its clients with the best possible user experience. Client satisfaction is important to them and Hirewriters firmly believes that if the client isn’t satisfied with the written results, then they certainly shouldn’t have to pay for the job.

Hirewriters Prices:

The HireWriters prices are published on charts on their website that can be viewed just by clicking on their “Prices” link. They generally range from $0.65 for some Facebook posts and can go as high as $1250.00 for 5k word e-books delivered by “Expert” writers. Mind you, the prices we are quoting aren’t set in stone and can vary a bit from client to client but they’re basically in the ballpark.

Hirewriters Pros & Cons

Pros:

1. For writers, you’re completely in control of which jobs you choose.

2. Hirewriters pays writers on time every Friday via PayPal for any amounts above $10 in the writer’s account.

3. Hirewriters has a steady stream of good writing jobs to choose from, from web pages to blog posts, product descriptions, social media posts, and all kinds of business content.

Cons:

1. Writers need to be sure to read the full instructions before taking a job. This is important since some clients will post a 150-word job at $3, for example, however, further down in the posting, the client actually requires      1k words. Or a client could put a link in the instructions and, when you go to it and read all the way through their long and circuitous demands, they ask for way more words than the pay warrants.

2. Hirewriters charges a “payment processing fee” on every payment, which is nominal but never mentioned prior to charging it. This is on top of the 23 percent of what a client is charged for all jobs.

3. Even bonuses (aka tips) paid by clients (who are especially happy with the written content) are subject to the 23 percent deduction.

Hirewriters Ease of Use.

HireWriters focuses on making their website as easy and straightforward as possible for users and maintains not only high freelance writer quality but also lower prices for clients. It’s fairly easy to navigate, however, some clients may not have a very good handle on the inner workings of the Hirewriters interface and may get a bit confused. They also don’t seem to be aware that the feedback system affects not only the writers on the site but the clients as well. Clients who regularly fire writers will get a low acceptance percentage score, which writers could view as off-putting when choosing jobs to accept. Generally, when a client’s percentage gets down around 50 percent or lower, that client is considered to be too difficult to work for. Also, many clients don’t read the fine print when signing up and are completely unaware that, after a specific number of days, a writing job will be auto accepted before they have a chance to read it.

Hirewriters Customer Service.

One red flag is that there’s only one way to communicate with the customer service department and that is via email. There is no phone number or live chat feature, so writers and clients alike must wait patiently for an answer to any questions or complaints. Once management does get back to them, they are usually quite helpful but unfortunately, immediate help is not available. This could be something important for the Hirewriters team to consider changing. So, if you own a business and need someone to always be available for composing credible professional writing that will make your company look good, then Hirewriters is a good bet for you. A good professional writer can be as valuable for your small or medium-sized business as an accountant, attorney, or some other service providers. And, if you’re a freelance writer who is new to writing or looking to expand your horizons by picking up some quick writing jobs with reliable consistent pay, then you should go for it, too.
